Following the momentum gathered from their feat-setting All Boys Conference on 16th May, 2025, in commemoration of the International Day of the Boy Child, boys from junior and senior secondary schools gathered at Crystal Valley City College from August 6 to 9 for the King’s Court Mentorship Camp, a program aimed at shaping the next generation of young men through discipline, responsibility, and leadership.

The four-day camp, themed “Rising Kings: Discipline, Responsibility, and Leadership,” was organized solely by the King’s Court Mentorship Program. The initiative seeks to raise boys on the values of strength, courage, mastery, and honor and prepare them to function as responsible leaders in society.

In total, 214 training session slots were filled during the camp, alongside 23 camp sessions and eight speaker-led seminars. Among the invited speakers were Adelani Sarumi, popularly known as “Lefty of Lagos,” and Pastor Isaiah Aganagana, who addressed the boys on personal development, faith, and leadership.

Faith also played a significant role in the gathering, with nine of the campers reportedly receiving the Holy Ghost “with the evidence of speaking in tongues.”

The camp combined teaching with welfare. Admission was free, and each participant was provided with meals, totaling 134 servings across the program. Ms. Betty Obazee oversaw the cooking, while Mrs. Chukwunonso Erokwu, matron of King’s Court Mentorship Program, popularly known as Sellurmarket, sponsored refreshments on the final day.

Three tuition scholarships to Crystal Valley City College were awarded, though organizers requested that recipients remain unnamed.

For the boys, the experience appeared transformative. Many expressed eagerness for the next edition of the camp, according to organizers.

The program was supported by several sponsors, with major backing from Mr. Ogoejiofor Kesniel.

With the combination of structured mentorship, spiritual impartation, and practical welfare, King’s Court Mentorship Camp is positioning itself as a significant local effort to nurture boys into future leaders.
