“To know the beauty of a man, give him a haircut. Beasts become princes, and monstrous-looking men become lovely little boys,” says Frank Chukwuebuka Clinton, coordinator of the King’s Court Mentorship Program.

On February 14, 2025, free haircuts were in the air as King’s Court took to the streets to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a unique way—offering free grooming to teenage boys experiencing life on the streets.

Speaking to Oparawhyte News, Frank C. Clinton explained that the initiative aligns with King’s Court’s mission to mentor and empower teenage boys and young men. “The clothes don’t make the man, but appearance can somewhat alter behavior. A scary-looking boy is no longer scary.”

successfully completed 28, with only two missed due to a blunt blade and a dead battery. Undeterred, Mr. Frank announced plans to make this a monthly outreach, increasing the goal to 50 free haircuts per session.

Regarding funding, the coordinator shared that he primarily self-funds the program but remains grateful to friends and supporters who have contributed to the cause. “I don’t let funding bother me; it will come. But first, we must show people we are worth their resources. If I can’t invest in it, why should I expect someone else to?”
