At Oparawhyte, we believe that every writer’s voice matters. To ensure your work receives the attention it deserves, we’ve put together a few essential guidelines for the No-To-Child-Marriage campaign writing submissions. These will help you maintain quality and consistency while giving you the best chance to showcase your creativity to a wider audience.
Your level of expertise does not stop you from delivering the best whilst sending your works in the most appropriate manner. So, do well to follow these guidelines making the submission smooth and efficient.
- Submission should be sent to writersforchange@oparawhyte.comwith strict adherence to the instructions given.
- Entries must focus on the theme “No to Child Marriage.”
- Submit your entry in one category only. Essays, poems or short stories. Any writer who submits in more than one will be disqualified.
- Entrants must give unique and creative titles to their works. The overall theme is not to be used for the titles.
- All written essays, stories or poems must be an original intellectual property of the entrants.
- Entries submitted must be previously unpublished. Once a submission is discovered to have defaulted on this rule, it will be automatically voided.
- The judges’ unanimous decisions will not be challenged.
- Entering for the contest gives OW the eligible right to make use of entries as deemed appropriate.
- Entries must be written in English. Native terminologies must be translated in English as footnotes.
- Entrants should follow our social media pages and accounts for regular updates.
