A dangling body

by Admin

Have you ever been in a relationship with someone who loved you so much, you could literally feel them in your skin. Arghhhh! It can be annoying sometimes but really cute.

At the early hours of today, I came across a post on Facebook made by Daniel Nsa. He shared a story about his younger brother who was so clingy and adorable, yet oblivious of his actions. Sadly, his death left a void in his life which has been quite an experience. Love lived here and still does.

This is exactly what the body of Christ represented while it hung on the cross.

Wait! Let’s back track.

At the last passover, in which we all know Judas betrayed Him. A heart-rending act that could end a friendship or relationship. At this point, Jesus had the will to curse him and render him a nonentity.

But He didn’t do it. Instead He acknowledged that Judas would betray himof his own will. What next? He resumed the supper. (Matt. 26:25-26)

What? How can He?

Like Jesus! Haba!

If it was I, I may have murdered Judas at the spot. The light of day would be snuffed out of him as soon as possible. Consequence? My ministry would have ended there. All I was being trained for in 30 years would be in the drain.

BUT JESUS!! See how He composed and maintained steeze till His last breath.

I’m broken!

I can imagine the pain and worry He had to go through at the moment. His mental state, the torture, taunts, piercings, thorns, stripes…till He gave up His Spirit, while asking for their forgiveness.

This Living Sacrifice! So Holy and Acceptable!

Kai!

Now, imagine the body of someone dangling on a tree for you, who never met you. This is several centuries ago. He didn’t physically meet you or hold you. You don’t know how He looks physically.

Yet, He had hope. Hope that you will know Him, find Him and abide in Him. (Hebrews 12:2)

Yes, He is the Son of God but what was His assurance that this hope will not fail Him?

I mean, Man betrays and backstabs his fellow. So, what was it?

Genesis 1:26-27 (NLT)

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us… So, God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God, He created them; male and female, He created them.

This is it!

You are His Reflection. Made from His loins. His carbon copy.

Nothing missing, Nothing broken!

A Perfect being can’t create an imperfect being from Himself, right? No matter how much the created strays, he must return to default setting, isn’t it?

That’s why your Father loves you!

That’s why Jesus adores you!

That’s why Abba chose you!

You are a part of His very essence. The bone of His bones; the flesh of His flesh;

The Apple of His eyes!

So, how can He leave you? How?

If at this point, it is still strange to you, it is not fine.

But here is the thing,

He will never stop loving you. How love will chase you to the ends of the earth. He will never hate you.

Never! (John 3:16)

He is waiting to embrace you with His love, making you His abode. That’s how much He yearns for you.

such Love! such Intensity!! such Purity!!!

Would you come to Him?

OR

Would you continue to roam aimlessly without your essence and purpose, searching for what isn’t there?

When will you stop?

When?…

😮‍💨🙌🏾🙌🏾 this love of God the abounds much more over me. Can a perfect being create imperfection? It’s impossible and so truly perfection is in my creation makeup.
